Vehicles Stolen in Webster Groves, Police Report

The following arrest information was supplied by the Webster Groves Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Webster Groves police blotter for May 15 to May 21.

Thursday, May 19                    

  • A employee reported a purse and credit cards stolen from their office. The credit cards were used at several stores in the area. The suspects were observed on surveillance video using the cards and stopped with stolen items in their possession. Both suspects were arrested and charges are pending.
  • Someone gained entry to a vehicle parked in the 200 block of East Lockwood Avenue by breaking the rear window. A purse was stolen from inside.

Friday, May 20

  • Several items were taken from two unlocked cars parked in the 500 block of Locust Court.
  • A 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen sometime overnight from a driveway in the 600 block of Cornelia Avenue. The vehicle was later recovered in the 8700 block of Natural Bridge Avenue. At the time of the theft, the car was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle.
  • Sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., a boys Giant maroon and black bicycle was taken from the bike rack in front of the McDonalds in Old Orchard.
  • The owner reported several items were taken from a vacant home in the 100 block of Waymire Avenue.
  • At about 9 a.m., two male suspects stole two tip jars containing approximately $30 from the counter of Starbucks in Old Orchard.

Saturday, May 21                 

  • Sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. someone stole a 1994 Jeep Cherokee from the street in front of the residence in the 400 block of Selma Avenue. The Jeep was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle at the time of the theft. 
  • Two vehicles were damaged while parked in the parking lot at 500 Colebrook Drive. The damage apparently was done in a failed attempt to steal the vehicles.
  • Someone punched out the ignition of an unlocked car parked in the first block of South Rock Hill Road.
  • The owner of a snow-cone stand located in the 3600 block of Brentwood Boulevard reported that sometime overnight someone broke into their stand and stole $150.
  • A backpack containing a laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of Atlanta Avenue sometime overnight.
