Kirkwood Economy: Council Candidates Weigh In

Mayoral and city council candidates respond to questions about Kirkwood's economy.

The Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce has unveiled responses to a questionnaire sent to mayoral and city council candidates about Kirkwood's economy.

The document was crafted by the business organization's Public Policy Committee to help voters make an informed choice when casting their ballots April 3, the chamber says.

Joseph Godi is challenging incumbent Art McDonnell for Mayor of Kirkwood, while four candidates are vying for three open seats on the . They include incumbents Gina Jaksetic and Gerry Biedenstein, and challengers Jim Wilder and Nancy Luetzow.

The chamber received responses from all of the candidates except Godi who was unable to respond due to a family matter. Kirkwood Patch is working with the chamber to publish Godi's responses.

The Public Policy Committee has arranged responses from mayoral candidates first followed by responses from council candidates listed alphabetically. See attached PDF.
