Fairy Tale Characters to Lead Greentree Parade
A youth theater group with members from Kirkwood and Crestwood will serve as grand marshals of the 2012 Greentree Parade.

The theme for the 2012 Kirkwood Greentree Festival is “Once Upon a Time.” Therefore, members of the Crestwood/Kirkwood Youth Theatre program, which recently celebrated its 25th year of operation, will dress up in fairy tale character costumes and serve as this year’s parade Grand Marshals.
Dave White, former director of parks & recreation for Kirkwood, will once again serve as the Parade Emcee, at his position at the .

The parade will step off at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 15, winding its way through the neighborhoods directly to the west of downtown Kirkwood and finishing up at .
and will sponsor this year’s parade awards, while and an anonymous donor are the overall parade sponsors for 2012.

SSM St Clare Health Center will once again sponsor the Main Stage Entertainment and Shuttle. Other 2012 sponsors include: (Kids’ Day), (Lost Kids’ Booth), (Tennis Tournament), Commerce Bank (Arts & Crafts Area), (Dance), Purina (Canine Frisbee Contest and Kids’ Dog Show), (Kids’ Day), and (Car Show).
