The city expects all asphalt construction to be completed by the first week of October.

Reconstruction of Ann Avenue Underway

City contractor Kelpe began reconstruction of Ann Avenue Monday, Sept. 10, between Couch Avenue and Atlus Place. During the day, this section will be closed to all traffic, and at night it will be open for one-way traffic only. The contractor will put up detour signs, directing traffic around the lane closure, the city says.

Water Main Work on Big Bend Road

During much of September, work on water mains will have the westbound lanes of Big Bend Road closed, between Robert Place and Marjean Court, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. One lane will be open in both directions.

MSD Sewer Installation Holmes Avenue

In September and October, a section of South Holmes Avenue (from the Quick Trip to Oak Bend Library) will be completely closed for about eight weeks for a Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) sewer installation. Detour signs will be set up.
