City to Replace Ann Avenue in Kirkwood

Kirkwood Public Works Director Todd Rehg says the street is in very bad condition.

Reconstruction will begin on Ann Avenue in Kirkwood Sept. 4. The street that runs from Couch Avenue to South Ballas Road will be closed to all drivers except those who live on Ann, according to the .

The closure is due to the narrowness of the street, the city says on its Facebook page.

"With Ann, the street is in very bad condition with a street condition rating of 32 out of 100," Kirkwood Public Works Director Todd Rehg said. "With the culvert being replaced at Windy Hill (Road), the street will be replaced at the same time to minimize disruption to the residents and motoring public."
