New North Kirkwood Park to Receive Grant Money for Improvements

The St. Louis County Municipal Park Grant Commission has awarded Kirkwood $290,000 for a basketball court for the newly planned park.

The Municipal Park Grant Commission of St. Louis County has announced it has awarded slightly over $3 million in grants for 18 city parks.

will receive $290,000 in grant money for a basketball court. The park would be located at the intersection of Avery Drive and North Harrison Avenue.

According to the commission's website, the Municipal Park Grant Commission of St. Louis County was formed in 2000 after voters approved a new sales tax to help improve, restore and expand their municipal parks and recreation programs.
