The announced Wednesday morning it is canceling the daily Interstate 270 lane closures so crews can can complete survey work in the blasting region.

As previously reported by Patch, MoDOT has been closing both northbound and southbound sections of I-270 for up to 15 minutes at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. during weekdays.
The cancellation of the closures is for this week only and closures and rock blasting work will resume at 10 a.m., Monday, according to a MoDOT news release.
The closures are then set to continue weekdays throughout the summer.
All of this construction is weather permitting.
