Candidate Withdraws From Kirkwood School Board Race

Hamid R. Hamrah announced that he is withdrawing his candidacy for the Kirkwood School Board election April 3.

Hamid R. Hamrah has withdrawn from the race for one of the two open seats on the Kirkwood School Board.

In a statement received by the Kirkwood School District Thursday, Hamrah cites an unexpected increase in business commitments as his reason for withdrawing from the April 3 election. Although he has withdrawn from the race, Hamrah's name will remain on the ballot.

"I wish students, staff, parents and community the best and encourage each person to vote for another candidate of their choice," Hamrah says in the statement.
