Frost, Kelly First to File for Kirkwood School Board
Filing for April's elections started on Tuesday at 8 a.m. Two school board seats are up for grabs.
Two residents, Marie Kelly and Darnel Frost, have filed for two open positions on the Kirkwood School Board.
Candidate filing opened on December 11 and filings will be accepted through Monday, January 14, 2013 from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The closing date for filing is Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If more than two candidates file for the board positions, an election will be held April 2, 2013.

Persons interested in filing may do so in the Office of the Superintendent at the Administrative Services Center, 11289 Manchester Road. To be eligible for the Kirkwood Board of Education, an applicant must; - be a citizen of the United States, - be a resident taxpayer of the Kirkwood School District, - be at least 24 years old, - have, or will have, resided in Missouri for one year prior to the April 2, 2013, election. Board members are not compensated for their service.

The Kirkwood School District is closed for winter break from Dec. 22, 2012 through Jan. 6, 2013; schools may also be closed due to inclement weather.
