German Students Soak Up Life at Kirkwood High

A three-week exchange trip ends Oct. 9.

Twenty-two students from Hamburg, Germany, are walking the halls of Kirkwood High School and learning what it is to be an American student.

For the past two weeks, the students have been partnered with 22 peers from KHS and living at their homes. The German students return to Hamburg Oct. 9.

The trip follows the 22 KHS students visiting their German peers this summer for three weeks. The German students' visit to KHS offers the group of 44 to further cement friendships formed during the summer.

While partnered with their peers, the German students are taking classes at Kirkwood High School, going on field trips around St. Louis and experiencing life in general as Kirkwood student, including a tailgate party before the Kirkwood vs. Seckman home football game.

Before the end of the exchange trip, the group of 44 American and German students will travel to Memphis, TN, this weekend to take in the sights.
