Kirkwood Teens Advance in Talent Showcase
Two signers from Ursuline Academy have made it to the semifinals in the St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase Competition.
The vocal abilities of two Kirkwood singers have brought each one step closer to thousands in scholarship money and priceless exposure.
Lauren Geisz and Anna Hebrank made it through to the semifinals of the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition after last weekend's preliminary competition which narrowed the field of contestants from 100 to 32 acts.
Winners at the competition will earn thousands of dollars in scholarships, and universities and organizations, such as Lindenwood University or The Muny, are also offering scholarships and prizes.

Lauren Geisz, 16, chose to sing “So Much Better” from the musical Legally Blonde for the competition because it shows off her “god-given talent.”
“I love to belt. I just love singing,” said Lauren, who has been singing for about four years.

“I chose it because it is very fun and entertaining,” Anna said.
