A group with the mission to empower Kirkwood youth hopes students and parents will attend the event tonight at North Kirkwood Middle School at 7 p.m.

The following article was submitted by Peer2Peer (P2P) Alliance.

Meet and hear the stories of recent high school graduates who are in recovery and living alcohol- and drug-free lives during this panel event entitled, “The Experience of Addiction & Recovery” on Wednesday, November 7th, 7 – 8:30 pm at North Kirkwood Middle School, 11289 Manchester Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122 and sponsored by Peer2Peer, a newly formed alliance in Kirkwood.

Facilitated by Dr. Chris Ohlemeyer, a local pediatrician, these young adults will honestly discuss their personal experiences and the challenges they faced as they dealt with their addictions. Both students and parents can benefit from the insights of these youth and how parental intervention helped them on the road to recovery.  Following the panelists’ discussion, there will be an opportunity for Q & A.
