Basic Kayak Class

This is one of Alpine Shop’s most popular clinics every year! No experience is necessary to learn how to kayak from one of Alpine Shop’s ACA Certified Instructors, You will get wet so you must know how to swim. After you’ve spent two hours with us on the water, you’ll have learned the basics of kayaking including basic strokes how to enter and exit the boat and basic safety skills. Students provide their own snacks, drinking water, hat, sunscreen and eyeglass retainers. This class is a required prerequisite for our Intermediate Kayak Course. We strongly suggest attending one of our Introduction to Kayaking: Dry Land Basics seminars before taking this course. For more information call 314-962-7715.
