Webster Girls Open Soccer Season With Convincing Win
Webster's girls soccer team posted a solid 7-1 victory over Fox to open up the 2011 season.
Webster saw a pair of goals from both Morgan Unger and Stevie Wunderlich on its way to a 7-1 victory over Fox in the opening game of the 2011 season.
Junior goalkeeper Jessica Perry was largely unchallenged in net, and conceded a goal late in the second half after stopping four shots in the opening frame.
Coach Chris Allen was pleased with the result.

"For our first game of the season we played very, very well," Allen said. "I’m a little surprised to be honest. We played like a veteran type of team despite only having two seniors. Our intensity, focus and toughness was everything we had hoped for. At the end of the day, I think we just wanted it more and it showed in our ability to win the 50/50 balls."
Webster now turns its attention to Mehlville who the team lost to 3-0, last year.

"It should be a very stern challenge as they return a lot of their team from last year, and their quickness and speed could pose problems for us," Allen said.
