For students entering grades 3-6 in the fall. Do you wish you could spend more time doing science at school? Do you wonder about the world around you - indoors and outside? If so, then join us for a week of observing, exploring, and investigating at Simply Science camp. Over the course of the week we'll conduct experiments at the KHS Science Center, explore local natural areas and Keysor's Project IDEA Space, and observe the night sky with telescopes at an evening session. The overarching goal of the camp is to introduce campers to many of the exciting ways their curiosity about science can be applied.

Two different sessions offered: One for students entering grades 4-6 in the fall, one for students entering grades 7-8 in the fall. What do Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math have in common with Legos and robots? They are all part of an exciting summer camp opportunity you don't want to miss. In this camp you will construct a robot using the NXT Mindstorm robot and programming system. Once constructed, you will learn how to program your robot to perform specific tasks, skills, and tricks on a large robotics playing field. It's an obstacle course for robots! Campers will also build attachments for their robots to expand on their capabilities. It's fun, it's creative, and it strengthens your STEM skills too!

Camp Kirkwood Kids Ages 3-5 Little campers are sure to have a great summer! Campers will get the chance to play games, make crafts, and make friendships. Kirkwood Aqua Camp Ages 6-12 For the true water bug, a five-day camp that will make your fingers wrinkle and your love for aquatics grow. We are taking all of the fun that camp offers and putting it in the pool. Each day will be filled with games, crafts, and open play, all in the swimming pool! Certified lifeguards and experienced counselors will have a ball with your child as they teach them a love of aquatics. Please bring your own lunch and a drink. Refrigeration is not provided. Kirkwood Teen Camp (KTC) Ages 11-15 Are you an active teen looking for a fun way to spend your summer? Check out the themes below. Each session includes 3 field trips, a special event, ice skating during some sessions and swimming three times a week. Campers must be 12 years old or have completed 6th grade. Max of 30 campers, so sign up today! Sports: This session includes trips to bowl, Nascar Speedpark and to play Demolition Ball. Up and Away: This session will reach higher and higher. Camp Broadway Presents: “Grease, School Edition” Ages 11-18 Join directors Joe Schoen and Dan Horst for this Camp Broadway experience is for those with previous theatrical experience. Rehearsals will be intense and all actors are needed for every rehearsal day. Auditions for the camp will be held on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31. If you cannot make the audition days, please contact the community center and an alternate audition will be arranged. “Grease, School Edition” is a shortened, family-friendly adaptation of the popular musical. It features all the memorable songs like “Summer Nights, Greased Lightning, Hand Jive and We Go Together. “Grease, School Edition” requires a minimum number of participants. Show title may be changed and/or the program may be canceled if the appropriate casting cannot occur. Camp Broadway, Kids presents “Aladdin, Kids” Ages 7-11 404140 M2 Have you always dreamed of singing, dancing and acting on stage or maybe even Broadway? Learn all the facets of musical theatre from professional directors Dan Horst and Joe Schoen! During the two week camp, participants will learn and/or improve on all aspects of musical theatre: audition techniques, singing, dancing and acting skills. These are just a few of the tricks you’ll learn in Abra-Kid-Abra’s Making Things Appear and Disappear camp! You’ll get your own magic box and new tricks to show friends and family every day!
