Kirkwood's Hot Dog Dayz of Summer This Friday

Kirkwood and Oakland families are invited to come out to local parks on Fridays for some free food and fun. Find the event schedule here. Today's event is at Avery Park.

The Kirkwood Police Department and Kirkwood Parks and Recreation are once again holding the Hot Dog Dayz of Summer which is a free, family event.

Kirkwood and Oakland children are invited to come out to local parks on Fridays from June 14 to  July 26. 

A hot dog lunch will be provided and police will play games with the children. Community members also have the opportunity to meet their police chief.

"We feel this is a great way for the children to interact with the police department on a positive basis and for the children to know when or if they need help they can come to us," Kirkwood police stated in a news release.
