How St. Louis Home Sellers Make Buyers Fall in Love

In St. Louis and beyond, home buyers are buying real estate faster than home sellers can provide it.

If you are putting your house on the market, you may already be thinking about a style injection. Keep in mind, however, that style is cyclical. Shaker cabinets, subway tile and a blend of old and new, all hallmarks of St. Louis real estate, are back in style.

A fresh coat of paint is never a bad thing, in theory, but taking precautions beforehand is a must. Make sure you're taping a clean surface, and that there are no air bubbles or gaps between the wall that could let paint leak onto the trim. And take all precautions necessary to avoid tracking paint around the area.

Lastly, make sure you scout your neighborhood and see what similar houses have sold for. Knowing your area is essential to understanding how to sell your home, and finding a realtor who is experienced and ingrained in your neighborhood is essential for this.
