Once Upon a Time at The Magic House

The Magic House hosts Fairy Tale Tea on November 10 and 11. Kids get to dress in their storbook best - at least one shoe required please!

If you have a little princess, I mean a little girl, at your house this may be of interest to you!  Once upon a time—Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11, to be exact—The Magic House is hosting its annual Fairy Tale Tea!  Aspiring princesses (and princes!!) will have the opportunity to sip tea or apple juice, dine on fine pastries, make a bejeweled tiara or crown to take home and enjoy a short, live production of Cinderella at The Magic House.  Following the play, kids can see their favorite characters up close as Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother visit with guests and sign autographs. All day admission to the museum is included in the ticket price.

I had a chance to see my first Fairy Tale Tea when I started in April and it is adorable!  The best part of the day is certainly seeing the kids dressed in their storybook best.  Heads up though -  this event is very popular and does sell out most years. I recommend making reservations now!  I also recommend reading a few fairy tales to your child before the big event.  The movies are great, but there is a certain magic to reading one of these magical tales with your child before bed time!

Fairy Tale Tea tickets are $15 for Magic House members and $18 for non-members, there are still openings in the 1pm and 3pm sessions each day. Reservations can be made online at www.magichouse.org or by calling The Magic House at 314.822.8900. This event is recommended for ages three and up.
