Big, Little Senior Dogs Need Homes

Meet Jazz and Hunny at the Kirkwood Petco this weekend.

Jazz

Meet Jazz, a female 10-year-old Labrador Retriever mix available for adoption with the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.

Jazz's former owner unfortunately had to go live to a nursing home, and Jazz ended up with no one to care for her and was relinquished to a shelter in Illinois. It was a big shock for Jazz to go from a home to a shelter and she quickly became depressed and lonely in the shelter environment.

Thankfully, through the help of David Backes, of the St. Louis Blues, and his wife, Kelly, she was able to leave the shelter and join the ranks of dogs living in loving foster homes with the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. David and Kelly sponsored the vet care and other expenses for Jazz.

Jazz is enjoying her stay at her foster home while she waits for her forever home. She has warmed up to the humans in her household and enjoys getting belly rubs and of course treats!
