Youth Group Gives Gift of Prom Fairy Tales

Members of a Concordia Lutheran Church group recently collected 67 dresses to donate to the Metro St. Louis Cinderella Project.

Many young women in the St. Louis area will be able to attend their proms in style and with confidence thanks to a group of Kirkwood peers.

Girls from the Senior High Youth Ministry at recently collected 67 dresses to donate to the Metro St. Louis Cinderella Project.

The annual collection event promotes confidence and self-esteem in high school juniors and seniors by providing the gift of prom dresses to young women in the metropolitan area who are unable to acquire a dress on their own.

Members of the church youth group collected dresses from their closets, fellow church members and Lutheran South High School. After a Girls Night Lock In on Friday, several in the group traveled to West County Center to drop off the dresses.
