"Some-bunny" is looking for a forever home this Easter! Say hello to Evie, a black Labrador mix available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.
Evie has had a rough couple of past months. She was picked up as a stray in rural Illinois and it was found that she was heartworm-positive. She had to undergo treatment for a month and then this poor gal had to get leg surgery to recover from a past injury that she got very likely from getting hit by a car. However Evie has had great spirits throughout her healing process and was always eagerly waiting the moment she would be healthy and ready for her forever home.
Evie is a very laid-back dog. She loves both going out for a short walk and snuggling by you to watch TV. She also enjoys hanging out at the dog park with her foster brothers and other pooches. And she is the sweetest dog you will ever meet!
Since she had her leg surgery she has become a lot more playful thanks to her mobility increase, so she now enjoys playing catch with her favorite toys and also playing tug.
Evie would be a great addition to almost any household. She does have a love/hate relationship with cats. She likes some while she doesn't like others, so it would be best if she went to a home without cats. If you would like to meet Evie and other great adoptable pooches stop by the Saturday or Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or, check out the St. Louis Senior Dog Project website.
Thank you to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project for introducing us to Evie.
