Poppy Is Healthy and Ready for Love

Meet Poppy, a 4-year-old poodle available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Poppy is a friendly dog that wears with pride his chick magnet shirt (see photo). He knows he has a way with the ladies and he hopes he finds his way in to a forever home as well!

Poppy wasn't doing so great not so long ago. A veterinary clinic that sees the dogs fostered by the St. Louis Senior Dog Project convinced his former "family" to relinquish him as they realized that Poppy was in a situation of neglect. The clinic called the rescue group and he went in to foster care. He had to be shaved down because his coat was in very poor condition but Poppy knows he looks great with or without any hair!

He was also able to get dental care and his teeth are sparkly clean. Poppy now only needs to gain a little bit of wait because he is just a tad bit skinny. This great little dog deserves a true home and a loving environment.  If you would like to meet him and find out more about him stop by on Sunday at the from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
