Roadhouse Collects, Distributes Joplin Donations

Highway 61 Roadhouse and Kitchen in Webster Groves will accept donations for Joplin tornado victims through Wednesday afternoon.

 is collecting the following items to go toward victims of the Joplin, MO, tornado, through 1 p.m. Wednesday. Friends of the Roadhouse will be traveling to Joplin, MO, Wednesday evening to distribute the items and help with relief efforts.

  • Ready-to-eat canned meats, fruit,
  • Bottled water, Gatorade,  Canned juices, canned milk,
  • High energy foods--peanut butter, jelly, crackers, granola bars, trail mix,
  • Foods for infants, baby food and formula,
  • Comfort/stress foods--cookies, hard candy, sweetened cereals, lollipops, instant coffee, tea bags
  • Dried fruit
  • Sterile adhesive bandages in assorted sizes
  • Hypoallergenic adhesive tape
  • Aspirin or non-aspirin pain reliever
  • Anti-diarrhea medication
  • Antacid (for stomach upset)
  • Blankets or sleeping bag
  • Pillows-pillow cases
  • Toilet paper
  • Soap, liquid detergent
  • Feminine supplies
  • Personal hygiene items-soap, towels, deodorant, shampoo
  • paper cups, plates and plastic utensils
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • Condiments in individual packages - mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc. Sounds like a small thing but it would make a big difference.
