Three Senior Dogs Look for Love

Meet Charmin, Mr Whipple and Braun at the Kirkwood Petco this weekend.

Charmin and Mr. Whipple

Charmin and Mr Whipple are a bonded pair of Maltese dogs that have always been together. Charmin (on the right or front) is 9-years-old and Mr Whipple is 7-years-old. They are both healthy, happy and affectionate dogs available for adoption through Seniors 4 Senior Dogs. We are hoping to find a home that will adopt both of them.

Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St Louis area. We do, however, take in dogs of all ages and adopt to people of all ages. We do home visits and are asking for a reduced $300 adoption donation which includes both dogs.

We are at the every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Braun

Meet Braun an 8-year-old miniature long hair Dachshund available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.

Braun (or The Braunster as his foster mom calls him) is  a special little guy. He lived most of his life as a breeder in one of Missouri's largest puppy mills. Even though he had a rough start in life, he has learned to trust people and has made great steps in going from a puppy mill dog to a pet.

Braun loves the company of other dogs and feels more at ease if he has other dog playmates around him, so a home with other dogs would be a great place for him. He is a very mellow guy but will make a few rounds of the house a few times a day. This makes him a good match for a low activity household.

If you or someone you know is a senior citizen looking for a companion pet, tell them about Braun. If Braun is adopted by a senior citizen, his vet care is free at the Stray Rescue clinic, a great help and peace of mind.

Braun will be at the Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
