Former Breeder Dogs Seek Loving Homes

Meet Amber and Taco Pete at the Kirkwood Petco this weekend.

Meet Amber

Amber is approximately 5 years old and came from a breeding facility. She is going to be beautiful, especially after she is groomed. She is learning how to be a pet and sleeps quietly in an exercise pen in the bedroom all night. She would do best in home with other dogs and with an owner who is patient and will work with her to gain confidence.

Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St. Louis area. We do, however, take in dogs of all ages and adopt to people of all ages. We do home visits and ask for a $200 adoption donation for adult dogs and $300 for puppies.

We are at the every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit the Senior Dogs 4 Seniors website.

Thank you to Senior Dogs 4 Seniors for introducing us to Amber.

Until recently, Taco Pete lived in a puppy mill facility. He has adapted very well to getting love and attention by humans and is now in search for his first real home. Taco Pete knows he is starting a bit late in life searching for a family to call his own but he is confident that there is someone out there for him.

Taco Pete is a sweet little guy and would make a great addition to any home. If you would like to meet him and other adoptable dogs, please stop by the Saturday or Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. To find out about all our dogs check out the St. Louis Senior Dog Project webpage.

Thank you to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project for introducing us to Taco Pete.
