The list currently includes suspects wanted for child kidnapping, tampering with vehicles, robbery, forgery, felony domestic assault, armed criminal action, statutory rape, distributing and manufacturing controlled substances and resisting arrest. Among current suspects is Ronne Clay Jr., whose photo accompanies this article. His last known address was Florissant, and he is wanted for second-degree robbery, making false declarations, assaulting an officer, stealing, and resisting with a felony arrest. Young people are falsely posing as students of L’École Culinaire in an effort to get victims to buy phony magazine subscriptions, according to the Better Business Bureau.
The Better Business Bureau released the following alert Tuesday. St. Louis area residents should be alert for a new door-to-door magazine sales scam involving young people posing as students of L’École Culinaire, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) warns. A homeowner in the 5400 block of Pernod Avenue, in the city’s North Hampton neighborhood, said she was approached by a young man and a woman last week who asked her to buy magazine subscriptions to be sent to servicemen and women overseas. They told her that they were enrolled at the well-known culinary school in St. Louis County and were raising money to further their studies in Italy. The man stole TVs from his mother's apartment.
A Warson Woods man was indicted by a St. Louis County grand jury Wednesday on second-degree burglary and stealing charges. In a report, St. Louis County Police said that Cody Hess, 19, of the 500 block of Flanders Drive in Warson Woods, borrowed his mother’s car while she was gone from July 2 to July 9, 2011. The key ring included a key to his mother’s apartment in the 12600 block of Woody Creek Court in unincorporated St. Louis County. She had been living in a furnished apartment provided by insurance after her house burned down. When Hess’ mother returned July 9, she discovered two flat screen televisions were missing from the apartment. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) triggered U.S. Capitol Police to contact the Kirkwood Police Department to help increase security for the senator, Politico reports. According to POLITICO, local police have been asked to step up patrols near McCaskill's home in Kirkwood after Scott Boston, a conservative activist, made a statement during the event in which he said, "We have to kill the Claire Bear..." In December, Boston formed the Gateway Grassroots Initiative along with Jennifer Ennenbach, Stacy Washington and Dana Loesch. Suspects make off with electronics, cash and a firearm after a string of overnight thefts.
Thieves broke into six vehicles Thursday night, making off with electronics, cash and a firearm, according to the Kirkwood Police Department. Five of the thefts occurred in a Kirkwood neighborhood near the intersection of North Geyer Road and West Essex Avenue. Suspects broke into vehicles in the: Residents began reporting the crimes to police at 6:39 a.m. Friday. Suspects also stole sunglasses and cigarettes, according to police. The Kirkwood Police Department offers the following tips to residents to prevent thefts from vehicles:
