Meet Keno Keno is an 8 year old flat coated retriever mix available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Keno is sure a happy boy these days! He was found as a stray dog in St. Charles County on October 2012. He was taken to a shelter and he spent a few months there, he is now with the St. Louis Senior Dog Project and thriving in a foster home and very happy to have a temporary home. Although you may think that Keno is an old guy now that he is 8 years old he is still very much young at heart and otherwise! He loves going out for walks and playing with his dog toys. Meet Daisy Daisy is a 13 year old border collie available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Little Daisy ended up loosing her home when her owner passed away, it must have been a rough situation for her and she is now looking for another family of her own. Daisy is an older gal but she still gets around very well, in particular if it involves giving or getting a hug! She is a very affectionate girl and she would love to share her love! Meet Francis Francis is a beautiful 8-year-old (only 48 years old in human years) Westie (West Highland white terrier) who came from a breeding facility. She is learning how to be a pet and is doing a good job living in a foster home with her people and other dogs. She is a little afraid but making great progress. She now comes up to you for loving. She sleeps quietly all night in a crate and prefers to go potty outside. All she needs now is her own forever home. Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St Louis area. We do, however, take in dogs of all ages and adopt to people of all ages. Meet Doodles Doodles is a french bulldog/shih tzu mix available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Even before you meet Doodles, one look at that silly face and you can tell that her funny name goes along with a silly face and an equal funny personality! Doodles started out a bit shy around her foster family but has not acclimated well and is happy to be looking for a forever home. She has a quiet side and an active side. She enjoys hanging out and snuggling with humans but she also enjoys a nice walk and outside time. Doodles is an eager walker and her and her future humans would benefit from walking her with a harness or halti lead. Border Collie Seeks Second Chance
Meet Buddy, our Adoptable Dog of the Week.
Buddy is a 4-year-old border collie available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Buddy is a very active dog with strong herding instincts, at his former home this pooch was herding chickens and we can just say that there was no happy ending for the chickens! His former family was not able to handle all the instincts that are natural to a border collie and this in turn became a dangerous situation for Buddy. At his former place he tried to "herd" a passing car resulting in a serious injury that made him loose his back right leg. This injury has not slowed Buddy down and he continues to be an active dog. Buddy is an energetic dog with tons of love to give, he is a very sweet dog that will do great in a family that …
