The Piccadilly Wins Mid-County Brunch Food Fight

The restaurant won this week's Readers' Choice battle by a landslide with 71 percent of the vote.

The Piccadilly in Maplewood is the winner in this week's Food Fight, in which we asked readers for their choice for best brunch in Mid-County. The restaurant won with 71 percent of the vote among the finalists in the competition. Last month, The Piccadilly won the Patch Readers' Choice Award for having the best barbeque in Mid-County. The votes are in! We asked Patch readers for your favorite Mid-County brunch spots and got some great spots for our favorite weekend meal. We read your comments on Patch, as well as comments posted to our Patch Facebook pages and Twitter accounts. Here are your choices: Square One Brewery in Lafayette Square and GC Brewery in Creve Coeur also were nominated; however, neither are in Mid-County. Easter Egg Recipes To Feature on Your Brunch Table

Here are some brunch recipes featuring eggs that were finalists in 45th Annual Pillsbury Bake-off.

Now is the best time to stock up on fresh shell eggs. Beyond making colored hard-boiled eggs to decorate your spring table, give one of one the following egg-enriched recipes a try. All three were finalists at the 45th Annual Pillsbury Bake-off. We also would like to add to our recipe box any fabulous egg recipes that you may have to share. Breakfast Crostatas Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray cookie sheet with no-stick cooking spray. Carefully unroll dough onto cookie sheet; cut in half lengthwise ad crosswise to from 4 squares. Sprinkle dough squares with basil and rosemary. Top dough squares evenly with ham and cheese. Make a small well in center of ham and cheese on each square.  To form crostatas, fold edges of dough up 1-inch over …

Everyone knows Cyrano’s in Webster Groves has incredible desserts, such as its flambéed desserts for two, chocolate sundaes, pastries and sorbets, but there’s more to life than just dessert, right? Maybe not, but who can live on sweets alone? Luckily, Cyrano's also delivers an outstanding brunch, a perfect marriage of breakfast, lunch and dessert.   Brunch is available 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday. The menu is a bountiful mix of appetizers, breakfast dishes, soups, salads and sandwiches. The breakfast trio is a special that changes weekly.
