Obituary: Adrienne Meckes, 17, Rising KHS Senior

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday with a funeral service set for Monday. A scholarship fund has been established in memory of the Kirkwood teen who died suddenly Wednesday.

The following obituary was provided by Bopp Chapel. The funeral home posted the obituary Friday. Meckes, Adrienne, 17, suddenly on Wednesday July 4, 2012. Beloved daughter of Dan and Heidi Meckes (nee Zeller). Loving sister of Justine Meckes. Dear granddaughter of Dick and Ann Meckes. Cherished niece of Bob (Melissa) Meckes, Jane (Kevin) Alberts, Ted Meckes, Hans (Debbie) Zeller, Heather (Pete) Coury, and Heath (Andrea) Zeller. Loved cousin of Chris, Matt, Tim, Ryan, Morgan, Jenny, Amanda, Jack, Bryce, Grant, Hayden, Erin, Dan, Brittany, Ryan, Abby, and Emily. KHS Senior Adrienne Meckes Dies Suddenly

Twitter sees an outpouring of support for the beloved Pioneer from the class of 2013.

Peers and adults are showing an outpouring of support following news that Kirkwood High School senior Adrienne Meckes died suddenly Wednesday. Kirkwood School District Superintendent Tom Williams informed families in the district of Meckes' death in an email Thursday morning, the Webster-Kirkwood Times reports. After the news, community members shared condolences, memories and prayers on Twitter with the hashtag RIPage. Here are a few examples: The Times reports that counselors will be available to members of the KHS community Friday at 12:30 p.m. in the school's library. Visitation is scheduled to be held at Bopp Chapel Sunday afternoon with services on Monday, according to the Times. For more information, visit the Webster-Kirkwood Times.
