The accident reportedly happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
A Des Peres home sustained extensive damage after a car plowed through the front window of a residence in the 11000 block of Lillian Avenue. The crash happened just after noon Monday, KMOV reports. The station also reports that according to authorities, the driver lost control of the vehicle and was suffering from a medical condition. The driver was taken to a hospital. His condition is unknown. No one was home at the time of the crash according to police, KMOV reports. Patch has a call into Des Peres public safety officials to learn more about the incident. A man who caused a collision by driving the wrong way on eastbound Manchester Road was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault in the crash. Des Peres Public Safety officers said that Thomas Lazear, 33, of the 9200 block of Leith Avenue in Woodson Terrace, was drunk when he drove the wrong way near 13384 Manchester Road in Des Peres and collided with another car. A blood test after the accident showed he had a 0.174 percent blood-alcohol content on May 28, police said. The driver in the other car suffered a broken collarbone in the collision. Dale Kawamura is due in St. Louis County Court later this month.
A California man accused of manslaughter in the crash that killed former Vianney student Clayton Pfeiffer (class of 2011), will have his case back in a St. Louis County Circuit courtroom August 30. Dale Kawamura, 36, surrendered July 11 in California and posted bond July 12. Bail was reduced from $75,000 to $50,000, according to court records, and he posted $2,500 cash. Prosecutors first filed charges against the Oakland, CA man June 13. Two weeks ago, on July 26, Kawamura's lawyer made a motion to supress all admissions, confessions, and physical evidence in the case. The out-of-state arrest stems from a February 21 fatal head-on crash with Pfeiffer's car on Olive Boulevard in Chesterfield near Creve Coeur Mill Road. Police said Kawamura …

Three St. Louis-area teenagers were involved in a golf cart crash Saturday night.
Three teens, including one from Kirkwood, were injured in a golf cart crash Saturday night. The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. four miles of Ironton on Killarney Drive. The golf cart, driven by 16-year-old Matthew Bruns of Kirkwood, crossed a T-intersection and overturned in a ditch. Riding with Bruns in the cart were 15-year-old St. Peters resident Lauren Gamache and 15-year-old St Charles resident Andrew Huber. Bruns and Huber were taken by ambulance to Iron County Hospital with minor injuries. Gamache was taken by ambulance to Parkland Hospital with moderate injuries. The golf cart sustained minor damage.

One person was reportedly killed Friday morning when they struck a work vehicle in the I-270 work zone between Highway 44 and Manchester Road.
The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. Friday in the northbound lanes of I-270 near Dougherty Ferry Road when a driver struck a workers vehicle, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The crash had traffic on Interstate 270 backed up traffic for hours, even into the morning rush hour. According to stltoday.com, the highway patrol confirms one person died in the accident. That person's name has not been released. Kara Price, a spokeswoman for the Missouri Department of Transportation confirms the accident happened in the work zone for the I-270 expansion project that began this week.
