How to Download Magazines for Free From Kirkwood Library

Get 75 publications including Rolling Stone, Artnews, Martha Stewart Living, Men’s Health and Family Circle on your smartphone or tablet for free.

Need more stuff to download to your computer, tablet, or smartphone? The Kirkwood Public Library can help you. In addition to Overdrive for audiobooks and ebooks, we have a new subscription to a site called Zinio. This web service allows you to download magazines for free to various devices. You will need your library card to get started, and we have a guide available to help you through the set up process. Once you create an account you can choose to subscribe to one or more of 75 magazines we have available including Rolling Stone, Artnews, Martha Stewart Living, Men’s Health, and Family Circle amongst others.  If you have any additional questions feel free to stop by Drop in IT on Tuesdays from 10am-12am or Thursdays from 6-8pm. Shark Week: St. Louis Style

Though we may live inland, St. Louisans still find a way to celebrate Shark Week.

Discovery Channel is celebrating its 25th year of Shark Week, one of the most viewed weeks in television.  But the Discovery Channel isn't the only way Midwesterners can get a close-up look at much-feared shark species. The St. Louis Zoo is offering free admission to its Caribbean Cove exhibit for humans dressed up as sharks this week. The Cove, the special habitat for stingrays and three species of much kinder (and smaller) sharks than of "Jaws" fame, typically costs $3 for non-members and $1.50 for zoo members. Visitors have the chance to pet, feed and observe the sea creatures up close. The Zoo is also adding special menu items (a "shark dog") and concluding the week with a concert by Griffin and the Gargoyles in the Schnuck Family …
