Last Chance: Book Sale Blowout Returns

The Friends of Kirkwood Public Library Booksale is this week.

The Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library announce its annual Book Fair at 10722 Sunset Plaza Drive, immediately south of the Burger King on S. Lindbergh, on the west side of the road. This new location is directly across Lindbergh from the site of last year’s sale. The sale runs Wednesday through Sunday. The sale will offer fiction and nonfiction books at bargain prices in a wide variety of categories. All proceeds benefit the Kirkwood Public Library. Payment can be made with cash or check, but not credit cards.  There will be an entry fee of $5 only on Wednesday, when the hours will be 1-9 p.m. Admission is free on other days. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. As in the …

Last Chance: RSVP for Kirkwood Networking Event

Options for retirement living is the topic of this month's General Membership Luncheon of the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its April General Membership luncheon Tuesday at Bethesda Gardens from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Cost for the luncheon is $20 for Chamber members who RSVP, $25 for non-Chamber of Commerce Members and walk-ins. John Pennington, an expert on senior living and President of Kedney Marketing Services, will speak. The topic of the luncheon is: What are the options out there for senior retirement living today? Last Chance: Expert Shares Branding Strategies Today in Kirkwood

Chamber members can learn how to get more brand for their marketing bucks through the business organization's March Marketing Monday.

Professional speaker and marketing expert Bill Ellis will present, "Getting Your Brand's Worth," from 12-1 p.m., today at the Kirkwood Public Library. The presentation is part of the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce's Marketing Mondays. Ellis will deliver actionable and effective strategies and tactics based on his own Seven C’s of Branding, the principles of the books Endless Referrals and The Go-Giver. "Ellis will provide his unique insights and practical applications to get More Brand for Your Marketing Buck," the chamber says in its newsletter.
