Frost, Kelly First to File for Kirkwood School Board
Filing for April’s elections started on Tuesday at 8 a.m. Two school board seats are up for grabs.
Two residents, Marie Kelly and Darnel Frost, have filed for two open positions on the Kirkwood School Board. Candidate filing opened on December 11 and filings will be accepted through Monday, January 14, 2013 from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The closing date for filing is Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. If more than two candidates file for the board positions, an election will be held April 2, 2013. The two positions for director of the Kirkwood Board of Education are open, because two board members, Angie Bay and Kathy Harris, whose terms expire in 2013 do not plan to seek re-election.
