Planning and Zoning Approves New Andy’s Frozen Custard
Andy’s Frozen Custard’s developer will need to seek a variance from the board of adjustment before proceeding to the Kirkwood City Council for final approval.
Andy’s Frozen Custard is one step closer to becoming a reality in Kirkwood after the city’s planning and zoning commission voted unanimously in favor of the development at their Jan. 2 meeting. The petitioner of the development, Greg Anderson of Ozark Custard LLC, plans demolish the former Long John Silver’s Restaurant building at 311 South Kirkwood Rd. to build the new Andy’s Frozen Custard. The building has been vacant since 2006. The new, 1600 square feet store will employ approximately 25 people, mostly part-time positions, according to a planning and zoning report.
