The St. Louis-based grocery chain is planning a grand opening for its newest supermarket on Tuesday morning.
Pancakes, paninis, parking and lots of fresh produce are some of the ways Dierbergs is hoping to wow customers at its new store, opening in Des Peres on Tuesday. Workers were busy laying sod and watering new shrubbery outside the multi-level “Market at Des Peres” on Friday. Over the weekend, employees stocked shelves and produce bins to get ready for the unveiling, company spokesman Todd Vasel said. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, followed by the store’s grand opening at 9 a.m. “It’s a Dierbergs store, but it’s got a much different look and feel,” company spokesman Todd Vasel said Friday. “It will be pretty impressive.” All month, Dierbergs featured a “31 things to do” at the Des Peres store on its Facebook page.
