Police Investigating Recent Thefts, Property Damage

Kirkwood police are investigating after thieves steal from a storage shed and numerous cars.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  April 18: At 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a tree fallen on a home in the 600 block of East Essex Avenue. Several large limbs from the tree damaged the roof of the residence. No one was at home at the time the tree fell. April 18: At 7:11 p.m., a resident from the 900 block of South Geyer reported property damage to and theft from a storage shed. A push mower, weed eater, and cans of gasoline were stolen from the storage shed sometime during the previous overnight hours. The thief damaged the door frame and lock of the shed to gain entry. Property Damage, Arrests in Recent Glendale Police Blotter

Glendale police report property damage, solicitor issues and a number of arrests in their most recent police calls.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.)  April 21: At 1:11 p.m., police responded to Highland Place for a complaint of a door-to-door solicitor. Police contacted the solicitor and advised him to cease until he obtained a proper permit from city hall. April 21: At 9:26 p.m., a 33-year-old St. Louis County man was arrested at the Glendale Police Department and charged in municipal court with failure to appear and as a fugitive of the Florissant Police Department. Numerous Cars Vandalized in Kirkwood, Police Report

Kirkwood police believe a pellet gun was used to shoot out the windows of at least two cars.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  March 16: Police took three separate reports of destruction of property to vehicles where the incidents happened overnight. Police said windows were broken out of all three cars, but nothing was stolen. The damage happened in the 300 block of West Madison Avenue, the 900 block of Evans Avenue, and the 1600 block of Lynkirk Lane. March 14: At 10:00 p.m., a resident reported a damaged mailbox in the 1800 block of Cheswick Place. The resident said the mailbox was spray-painted sometime after 6:00 p.m. This was the second time within one week the mailbox was damaged, according to police. March 11: At 10:19 a.m., police were …

Rash of Car Vandalism in Kirkwood

Kirkwood police said vandals damaged nine cars in one night this weekend.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  Sunday, March 10: Police said beginning at 7:37 a.m., police began receiving calls of vehicles being damaged overnight. A total of nine cars had windows broken, but nothing was stolen, according to authorities. Police said the vandalism occurred in the 1100 and 1200 blocks of Grandview Drive, 1800 block of Brookcreek Lane, 1200 block of Craigvale Court, 400 and 800 blocks of North Geyer Road, 1200 block of Lindgate Drive, 400 block of East Madison Avenue, and the 600 block of Pamela Lane.     Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Kirkwood Police Department at 314-822-5858. Theft Tops Recent Crime in Kirkwood

Kirkwood police report thieves target computers and jewelry, plus pass a bad check in this latest edition of police blotter.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.  Monday, Jan. 28: At 7:02 p.m., a resident in the 300 block of East Bodley Avenue reported cash and jewelry was stolen from a home sometime during the month of January.  Wednesday, Jan. 30: At 6:25 a.m., officers responded to a property damage call in the 400 block of New York Street. A woman reported having her windshield broken out overnight. Thursday, Jan. 31: At 7:15 a.m., a resident from the 300 block of East Adams Avenue reported a theft.
