The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on its St. Louis work zones for May 23-29.
To make travel around Missouri easier this Memorial Day weekend, the Missouri Department of Transportation is restricting construction work on interstates and state highways. Work on MoDOT projects that would impact travel lanes will stop at noon Friday, May 24. Traffic will still be restricted in areas where there are permanent barriers. Work will resume on Tuesday, May 28, at 9 a.m. For the Senior PGA golf tournament, Ladue Road is closed between Route 141 and Mason Road from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday, May 26. Mason Road will also be closed during these same hours and days from West Wailing to Ladue Road. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

The Senior PGA golf tournament comes to St. Louis and it will include road closures beginning next week. Route AB (Ladue Road) will be closed between Route 141 and Mason Road from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from Tuesday, May 21 through Sunday, May 26. Mason Road will also be closed during these same hours and days from West Wailing to Ladue Road. The Missouri Department of Transportation will have lane closures on a few interstates this weekend. Missouri Department of Transportatation's maintenance crews are continuing to work daily on touching up striping on state roads around the region. Drivers should be aware of slow moving maintenance operations on roadways as crews continue to work on putting on a new coat of paint. When drivers see a MoDOT vehicle with flashing lights, they should remember to slow down or move over to avoid the work ahead. Often three or more maintenance vehicles will be spaced out over some distance to complete maintenance work. In St. Louis County, blasting operations on southbound Interstate 270 near Big Bend is scheduled weekdays at 1 p.m., and will continue weekly, weather permitting. The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for April 18-24.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the ramp from Pine Street to westbound Interstate 64 at 9 a.m., Thursday as part of the Jefferson Avenue bridge closure. The Jefferson Avenue bridge over I-64 will close on Friday morning at 1 a.m., for approximately three months. Motorists can use Compton Avenue, 18th Street and 14th Street to detour around the closure. MoDOT will close all lanes on I-64 in both directions between Hampton and Jefferson this weekend starting at 8 p.m., Friday. MoDOT had warned drivers that traffic would be stopped Wednesday afternoon.
Update: MoDOT announced that the scheduled blasting would not take place due to predicted rain Wednesday. The Missouri Department of Transportation is warning drivers to expect traffic delays on southbound Interstate 270, between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, as rock blasting takes place this week. Weather permitting, the blasting is set to begin Wednesday along southbound Interstate 270 at 1 p.m, MoDOT stated in a news release. This means all lanes in both directions of I-270, between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, will be closed for up to 15 minutes on weekdays.. The Missouri Department of Transportation warns drivers Highway 40 is closed this weekend, between Hampton Avenue and Forest Park Parkway.
During this holiday weekend, motorists need to be aware of two major impacts to traffic. All lanes and ramps of Interstate 64 between Hampton and Forest Park avenues will be closed from Friday night until early Monday morning. In addition, westbound Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge will be reduced to only one lane open late Friday night until early Saturday morning. The detour for westbound I-64 will be to get off the interstate at the Forest Park Avenue exit (exit 38A) and follow Forest Park Avenue to Kingshighway. The Missouri Department of Transportation is asking drivers to pay attention and watch for road crews as it reports the St. Louis work zones for March 21-27.
It’s the season of pothole repairing and striping work for MoDOT crews and their multiple “moving” work zones. The work requires frequent short-term stops or reduced speed on busy interstates and roadways. MoDOT is promising to repair most potholes within 24-hours of them being reported. Drivers should report potholes by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT or online at MoDOT.org. Motorists should be on the lookout for trucks and give them plenty of room to work. Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for March 14 - 20.

Up to two lanes will be closed on southbound Interstate 270 overnight Monday through Wednesday between Manchester Road and I-44 as part of a widening project. Overnight closures of various ramps and lanes will occur on the Poplar Street Bridge in downtown St. Louis Sunday through Wednesday evening. Two entrance ramps to I-70 from Mid Rivers Mall Drive will close beginning Monday, March 18, weather permitting. The loop ramp from northbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive to westbound I-70, and the loop ramp from southbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive to eastbound I-70 will close. All lanes of eastbound and westbound I-64 between Missouri Research Park and Chesterfield Airport Road could be closed for five to 10 minute durations for blasting one to two days per week at 2 p.m. These periodic short term closures are expected to occur through March. In downtown St. Louis, MoDOT bridge inspection crews will close one lane in each direction on the Poplar Street Bridge weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, workers will close one lane between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

MoDOT said drivers can expect the lane closures on Interstate 270, between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, as the widening project along the interstate continues. It is also seeing traffic improvements as a result of the project.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is warning drivers to expect construction, lane closures and traffic delays on southbound Interstate 270, between Manchester Road and Interstate 44. It's part of the ongoing $12 million widening project. In addition, MoDOT stated that the additional lane recently added to northbound I-270 in that area of West County is having a positive impact on traffic flow and reducing congestion. MoDOT said the next set of lane closures will begin March 18 on southbound I-270. They are expected to take place daily, during non-peak hours, and run from Manchester Road to I-44.
