Handsome Senior Cockapoo and Retired Pekingese Breeder Dog Seek Companions

These two happy older pups need forever homes. You can meet them this weekend at the Kirkwood Petco.

Meet Doc Doc is a handsome, 10-year-old Cockapoo who is calm, quiet and well behaved. Doc sleeps quietly all night on a dog bed in the bedroom.  He is potty trained when he lives with someone who is home all day and can let him outside when needed.  Doc would do best in a forever home where he is the only dog or with one other dog.  He does enjoy his daily walks.  He was previously overweight and has lost about ten pounds due to reduced amount of food and daily walks.  Doc enjoys belly rubs, attention, tail wagging and giving kisses!  Doc does not enjoy being picked up - quite possibly because of his weight. He will gently eat treats from your hand. He also loves to chew bones!  We have also seen some separation anxiety with Doc and would …

And if she is in need of some TLC she will make her way to you and pat you with her paw or nudge you with her nose until she gets a hug or two! Meet Doodles Doodles is a french bulldog/shih tzu mix available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Doodles started out a bit shy around her foster family but has not acclimated well and is happy to be looking for a forever home. She has a quiet side and an active side. She enjoys hanging out and snuggling with humans but she also enjoys a nice walk and outside time. Doodles is an eager walker and her and her future humans would benefit from walking her with a harness or halti lead.
