Meet Lola Lola is an adult hound mix dog available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Lola was dumped out in the country and fortunately she has made her way in to a foster home. She is glad to be in a safe place and eagerly awaits for a second chance at a home of her own. Lola is not only cute but also super sweet! She is very fun loving and enjoys spending time with humans of all kinds. She is about three years old and she would enjoy being part of a family that has some high to moderate activity. Lola is housebroken and more importantly she is ready to love! The St. Louis Senior Dog Project's mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St. Louis area. It takes in dogs of all ages and places them with people of all ages. Katy is a black lab available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. This lovely lady was at the Jefferson County Animal Control and she couldn't be happier to be now in a foster home awaiting for her forever home! Katy as any other lab is super friendly and very in to her walks. She would love a family with moderate to high activity that would engage her in playtime and walks! Katy is currently undergoing treatment for some skin and ear infections that seem to have been caused by neglect, but that doesn't stop this pooch from wagging her tail and she is always ready for a hug. Meet Keno Keno is an 8 year old flat coated retriever mix available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Keno is sure a happy boy these days! He was found as a stray dog in St. Charles County on October 2012. He was taken to a shelter and he spent a few months there, he is now with the St. Louis Senior Dog Project and thriving in a foster home and very happy to have a temporary home. Although you may think that Keno is an old guy now that he is 8 years old he is still very much young at heart and otherwise! He loves going out for walks and playing with his dog toys. Even before you meet Doodles, one look at that silly face and you can tell that her funny name goes along with a silly face and an equal funny personality! Doodles started out a bit shy around her foster family but has not acclimated well and is happy to be looking for a forever home. She has a quiet side and an active side. She enjoys hanging out and snuggling with humans but she also enjoys a nice walk and outside time. Meet Buddy, our Adoptable Dog of the Week.
Buddy is a 4-year-old border collie available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Buddy is a very active dog with strong herding instincts, at his former home this pooch was herding chickens and we can just say that there was no happy ending for the chickens! His former family was not able to handle all the instincts that are natural to a border collie and this in turn became a dangerous situation for Buddy. At his former place he tried to "herd" a passing car resulting in a serious injury that made him loose his back right leg. This injury has not slowed Buddy down and he continues to be an active dog. Buddy is an energetic dog with tons of love to give, he is a very sweet dog that will do great in a family that …
