Glendale police report a Ballwin man faces a number of felony charges in connection to a recent theft investigation.

May 7: At 10:22 a.m., warrants were issued by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charging Jonathan Erwood, 23, of the 500 block of Seven Trails Drive of Ballwin, in connection to a theft investigation in the 900 block of Hawbrook Road reported on March 29. Erwood is charged with one count of stealing of a credit device which is a Class C felony, and one count of fraudulent use of a credit device which is a Class A misdemeanor. May 7: At 8:14 a.m., police responded to a residence on Heatherbrook for a theft from vehicles. A wallet, GPS, and sunglasses were stolen sometime overnight from two cars parked in the driveway. A man faces eight stealing charges in Kirkwood a couple of months after pleading guilty to burglary and other theft charges. Anthony Michael Johnson, 18, of the 400 block of South Holmes in Kirkwood, was charged April 25 with three counts of felony stealing, four counts of stealing a credit card and one count of stealing a car. Kirkwood Police said Johnson and others broke into cars in Kirkwood between June 26 and July 6. A Kirkwood man caught two men stealing from his car and chased them on foot briefly before calling police. Officers arrested Johnson a few blocks away with the keys to a stolen 2003 Mercury Marquis. Two people were just indicted on charges of selling the stolen items on eBay, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Des Peres police were involved in this investigation.

Thursday, the U.S. Attorney's Office of Eastern Missouri said two more people have been indicted in the case. They face up to five years in prison and/or up to $250,000 in fines. The Kirkwood Police department reports 300 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs were collected during the national drug take-back day.

April 27: Kirkwood police assisted the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with their bi-annual medication disposal at the Kirkwood Police Department. This year Kirkwood Police Department turned over approximately 300 pounds of unused or expired medication for proper disposal to the DEA.
