USA Today Poll Shows Kirkwood vs. Webster Trailing in Rivalry Competition

Fans of Pioneer and Statesmen football will have to step it up in order for the Turkey Day Game to move on in a competition to determine the best high school football rivalry in the nation.

The Turkey Day Game rivalry between the Pioneers and Statesmen is trailing in a USA Today poll that aims to determine the best high school football rivalry in the country. As of Monday evening, the rivalry between Brookfield vs. Marceline high schools had captured 62 percent of votes, making it the front-runner in the competition between Missouri rivalries. USA Today is holding a competition to determine the best high school football rivalry in the country and the Turkey Day Game has put Kirkwood vs. Webster in the running.

The rivalry between the Kirkwood and Webster Groves football teams is epic and steeped in tradition but is it the best high school football rivalry in the nation? That's the question USA TODAY High School Sports has been asking readers. The publication is holding a competition in which readers get to vote for their favorite rivalries with the winning teams receiving $5,000 each. Right now voting, which began Monday, is in the state competition round. Kirkwood vs. Webster is competing with Brookfield vs. Marceline high schools and Hickman and Jefferson City high schools. Jilly's Named Top Pick by 'USA Today'

The cupcake shop that recently expanded to Des Peres is one of the top 10 places in the country to get a gourmet cupcake, according to USA Today.

St. Louis' own Jilly's Cupcake Bar was named one of the top 10 places in the U.S. to get a gourmet cupcake by USA Today. Justin Willman, host of Cupcake Wars on Food Network, shared his favorite cupcakes from his travels. Tops on his list is Jilly's Reese's Chunkage, a half-pound cupcake. According to Willman, the cupcake is filled with peanut butter mousse and chocolate fudge ganache, topped with peanut butter and chocolate butter cream, and finished with chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
