Kirkwood Police said Gerard Paul Hill and his wife arrived separately at Christ Community Lutheran School as students were about to be released. The couple then got into an argument and Hill assaulted his wife.
A Kirkwood man is accused of assaulting his wife Monday on the parking lot of a school as students were released for the day. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Gerard Paul Hill, 59, of the 1300 block of West Adams Avenue in Kirkwood, was charged Tuesday with second-degree domestic assault. Kirkwood Police said Hill and his wife both arrived at Christ Community Lutheran School at 110 West Woodbine at about 3:30 p.m. as students were about to be released. Hill and his wife began arguing. During the argument, Hill began choking his wife, police said. Bail was set at $30,000 for Hill. Kirkwood Police said the Oakland man picked his girlfriend up by the neck and slammed her to the ground March 25.
An Oakland man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend twice within four days at their home on Melshire Court. Craig Gotsch, 51, of the first block of Melshire Court in Oakland, was charged Tuesday with second-degree domestic assault and third-degree domestic assault. Kirkwood Police said Gotsch lifted his girlfriend off the ground by her neck at about 10 a.m. March 25, slammed her to the ground and punched her in the face. She suffered scrapes and bruising, according to a court document. Police said he also choked his girlfriend at about 10 p.m. March 22. Gotsch is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. A man slammed his girlfriend’s head on a kitchen counter and then prevented her from leaving to seek help, Glendale Police said. William Greggory Buffington, 47, of the 2300 block of Pheasant Run Drive in Maryland Heights, was charged with third-degree domestic assault and false imprisonment last week. Glendale Police said Buffington injured his girlfriend April 27 in the 800 block of Queen Anne Place in Glendale, and then restrained her from leaving. Buffington pleaded guilty on Jan. 30 to assaulting a different woman in November 2010. Bail was set at $10,000, cash only.
