Jillian is a beautiful 5-year-old Maltese that came into Senior Dogs 4 Seniors from a breeding facility. She is well behaved and is learning how to be a pet. She needs a forever home with people who are willing to continue potty training her and to treat her gently and patiently as she learns to have confidence in herself. She loves to sit on your lap and is very sweet and affectionate. Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St. Louis area. We do, however, take in dogs of all ages and adopt to people of all ages. Meet Gizmo Gizmo is a very handsome 5-year-old Silky Terrier that was found as a stray. He had suffered from severe ear infections that are now cleared up. He is well behaved in the house and is learning to trust people and how to enjoy being a pet. Meet Hero Hero is a 5-year-old Japanese Chin available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Hero is a lovable dog that enjoys tons of cuddles and above anything the loves being a lapdog! He is a fairly calm and quiet pooch that would make a perfect companion for an elderly person or for any home! Hero was found as a stray and picked up by a local animal control, unfortunately his owners never came back to claim him but Hero is now recovered from that experience and enjoying his time at his foster home as he awaits a second chance at a forever home. Meet Prince, a 12-year-old poodle available for adoption through Senior Dogs 4 Senior.

Meet Prince Prince was surrendered to the St. Louis County Animal Control in terrible shape. He was very thin and was so matted that he could not open one of his eyes and it was necessary for Animal Control to shave him. He is a very sweet 12-year-old (64 in human years) poodle who loves his people and other dogs. Prince is an easy and quiet dog to have in your home. He loves to sit on your lap and he sleeps quietly all night in bed next to his foster Mom. Prince deserves to have a great life during his remaining years and is looking for a forever home. Meet Roadie and Dusty this weekend at the Kirkwood Petco.

Meet Roadie Roadie is a senior rat terrier available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Roadie earned his name because he was found wandering on the side of a busy road. He did not have the most luxurious or safe accommodations before so he is happy to be living it up in a nice warm and dry foster home. He enjoys spending time with humans and likes to be loved and give tons of love and hugs! Roadie, as you can see from his picture, is a pretty happy guy. He probably has less energy than your average adult rat terrier but probably has more energy than your average senior dog. He is after all a terrier! Roadie would make a great addition to any home. He is part of the Red Ribbon program and his adoption fee will be waived…

Shihapoo Available for Adoption

Meet Toby at the Kirkwood Petco Saturday.

Meet Toby Toby is an adorable 7 year old shihapoo (44 years old in human years). He is a nice little boy but is a little shy with people and is doing well in learning how to be a pet. He sleeps quietly all night on a dog bed in the bedroom and goes outside and comes in when asked. We wanted to trim the hair around his eyes for better photos but he definitely hates anything related to grooming so we will leave that to the professionals.   Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St Louis area.
