Adoptable Pets of the Week

GoodGirl and Dusty Need Forever Homes

Meet GoodGirl and Dusty, our featured adoptable pets of the week.

Meet GoodGirl GoodGirl is a young yellow lab mix available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. GoodGirl was found as a stray in the St. Louis city, this poor little girl was living in the second floor of a burned out home! GoodGirl is very friendly in her foster home but due to her time on the streets she is fearful of new situations. Her ideal home would have patience with this little sweetie as she adapts to them and the new home environment. GoodGirl is housebroken and gets along with other dogs in her foster home, she is a very cute and sweet pooch and she is very interested in upgrading her permanent home quarters from burned out building to kind loving home! If you would like to meet GoodGirl or our other adoptable…

Adoptable Pets of the Week

Lifelong Friend Needs Puppy Love

Meet Jack at the Kirkwood Petco Saturday.

Jack is an 8-year-old schnauzer available for adoption through Senior Dogs 4 Seniors. Jack lived his whole life devoted to a man who now has been moved to a nursing home. He is very well behaved in the house and is devoted to his people. He is totally potty trained and loves to sleep with his people. All he needs a forever home.  Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St Louis area. We do, however, take in dogs of all ages and adopt to people of all ages. We do home visits and ask for a $200 adoption donation for adult dogs and $300 for puppies.  We are at the Kirkwood Petco every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thank you to Senior Dogs 4 Seniors for introducing us to Jack.

Meet Tiny Prince and Pekie at the Kirkwood Petco this weekend.

Meet Pekie What could be cuter than a corgi or than a pekingese? A little bit of both! Meet Pekie a senior corgi-pekingese mix dog available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. Pekie is the sweetest cutest pooch you will ever meet. She is around 8 years old and weighs only 15 pounds. She's got long hair that makes her look like a miniature American eskimo. Pekie's former owner passed away and this senior pooch found herself looking for a new home. She enjoys walks and loves to cuddle. She would make a great pet for any family. If you would like to meet Pekie and other adoptable dogs, stop by the Kirkwood Petco Saturday or Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thank you to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project for introducing us to …

Senior Pups Search for Homes

Meet Ellie, an Australian Cattle Dog, and Breeze, a Shih-poo, at the Kirkwood Petco this weekend.

Meet Ellie Ellie is a 6-year-old Australian Cattle Dog available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.  Ellie is a beautiful dog with plenty of smiles and wags to share. Her previous owner had to go into a nursing home and was not allowed to bring her along, so Ellie found herself looking for a second chance and hopes to find a new home soon. She is a good pooch that is friendly with everyone. She would be fine in a medium-activity household. Although she is older, as a cattle dog, she enjoys having activity now and then. If you would like to meet Ellie or other adoptable dogs, stop by the Kirkwood Petco Saturday or Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thank you to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project for introducing us to Ellie. …

If anyone is interested in an Aussie like Ellie, I can tell them first-hand that mine is probably the most affectionate dog that I have had. Active though. Seeing him leap is like watching ballet. Swift and graceful.   more ›
