A man faces eight stealing charges in Kirkwood a couple of months after pleading guilty to burglary and other theft charges. Anthony Michael Johnson, 18, of the 400 block of South Holmes in Kirkwood, was charged April 25 with three counts of felony stealing, four counts of stealing a credit card and one count of stealing a car. Kirkwood Police said Johnson and others broke into cars in Kirkwood between June 26 and July 6. A Kirkwood man caught two men stealing from his car and chased them on foot briefly before calling police. Officers arrested Johnson a few blocks away with the keys to a stolen 2003 Mercury Marquis. Kirkwood Police said they found Ken B. Moore's fingerprints inside a home in which several computers, tablets, an e-reader and an iPod were stolen.
A 17-year-old man faces charges that he broke into a Kirkwood home and stole several electronic items. Ken B. Moore, 17, of the 1200 block of Rockridge Place in Kirkwood, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. Kirkwood Police said Moore entered a home in the 100 block of Harrison Avenue Oct. 18 and stole several computers, computer tablets, an e-reader and an iPod. According to a court document, Moore’s fingerprints were found inside the home. Moore was being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center Thursday. Bail was set at $10,000. A man has been charged with his sixth stealing offense after being accused of shoplifting in Kirkwood. Calvin S. Williams, 32, of the 7300 block of Tulane Avenue in University City, was charged Wednesday with stealing as a third offense, a class D felony. Kirkwood Police said Williams tried to return shoes for a cash refund that he had not purchased at about 4:36 p.m. Aug. 9 at Sports Authority, 1205 South Kirkwood Road. Security personnel saw him remove a security sensor from a pair of Asics athletic shoes and brought the shoes for a refund. Kirkwood police said a woman was arrested for stealing and filing a false police report after she called police to report she'd been robbed.
The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Tuesday, Jan. 29: At 3:27 p.m., police were called to a robbery in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. A woman reportedly claimed to have her wallet stolen. However, police said as they were investigating the reported robbery, employees of a retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road reported the theft of merchandise by an adult female. Authorities determined the alleged robbery victim and the suspect in the store theft were the same person. Two men allegedly stole more than $28,000 in electronics and jewelry, including NFC championship ring and Big 12 championship rings, on Dec. 31 from the Kirkwood home of Rob Boras, the St. Louis Rams tight ends coach. Two Kirkwood teens face criminal charges after police said they broke into a home on Lamertin Lane in October. Joseph Taylor, 18, of the 400 block of Saratoga Street, and Dorian S. Foster, 17, of the 500 block of Creek Field Walk, were charged Thursday with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. Kirkwood Police said Taylor and Foster, acting with others, broke into the home on the first block of Lamertin Lane in Oakland at about 7:52 p.m. Oct. 29. They stole a laptop computer, a DVD player and a jewelry box, police said. Burglars broke into the home by removing a screen to an unlocked window, according to police. A man charged with stealing jewelry valued at more than $200,000 in Ladue also faces stealing related charges in Glendale and Crestwood. His girlfriend also is charged with stealing. Justin Roux, 22, of the 200 block of Clayton Oaks Drive in Ellisville, was charged Sept. 7 with stealing in Glendale and Sept. 10 with receiving stolen property in Crestwood. Glendale Police said Roux stole two gold necklaces, a pair of gold and diamond earrings, and a silver ring with an aquamarine dome with a total value of $5,000. Roux moved a TV stand from the mother's house to the home where the items were stolen, according to a police report. The City of Des Peres issued the following advisory following two vehicle break-ins and reports of thefts.
The following information was provided by the City of Des Peres Department of Public Safety. Incidents occurred Sunday. A wallet was reported as missing from a motor vehicle in the 11000 block of Middleview Drive. Miscellaneous U.S. currency and credit cards were listed missing along with the wallet. At the time of occurrence the vehicle was believed to have been left unlocked, with the windows down, and the wallet in plain sight. A man faces criminal charges in a Sept. 7 burglary in the 2000 block of McReady Avenue in Maplewood. Corey Buie, 34, of the 1200 block of Rockbridge Place in Kirkwood, was charged with first-degree burglary and stealing. Maplewood Police said Buie stole $480 from the home on McReady. Buie told the victim’s son he was in the home, but he was trying to chase the burglar out. The victim told police Buie participated in the burglary. Bond was set at $50,000, cash only. Buie also was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Glendale police are investigating more than 30 thefts after a rash of vehicle break-ins.
Glendale police are investigating more than 30 thefts after a rash of break-ins last week in which thieves targeted 40 unlocked vehicles. At 4:15 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to reports of thefts that occurred Wednesday night. Thieves struck vehicles in the following areas: Credit cards, electronics, wallets, loose change and a musical instrument were stolen from vehicles parked in front of residents’ homes or in their driveways, police say. Some of the items were recovered near the scene of the thefts. Police are attempting to locate other missing items.
