Lighting up anything indoors is bound to attract attention At 11:45 p.m., police were summoned by employees of a business in the 100 block of East Jefferson Avenue Oct. 27 about a customer attempting to smoke marijuana inside the business. Officers arrived and located an adult male patron outside of the establishment in possession of marijuana and related drug paraphernalia. He was arrested. Early morning dispute erupts between drunken roommates At 7 a.m., Shrewsbury police were called to the 7500 block of Suffolk Avenue regarding an argument between two intoxicated college roommates over a credit card bill. The argument became physical, so both men were arrested for third-degree assault and issued citations to appear in municipal court. …

The Things We Steal Beer was reported stolen Oct. 15 from a business in Mehlville. Three sets of hair clippers were reported stolen Oct. 4 from a Maplewood Commons business. Now He's Really on the Hot Seat A man concealed 12 tubes of Preparation H in the waistband of his pants Oct. 8 at Shop ‘N Save, 45 Gravois Bluffs Plaza, and exited the store making no attempt to pay. When asked why he stole so many he stated, “I have really bad hemorrhoids.” He was arrested. Collaring the Cleaning Lady On Sept. 26, at 6:37 p.m., officers in Kirkwood responded to the area of Kirkshire and Regent Terrace for a report of solicitors. Officers located a woman from California who was selling cleaning products. She was arrested for soliciting without a license. Wondering if the Taser Was Mightier than the Sword A man called police reporting his roommate had threatened him with a Taser and a sword before taking money and illegal drugs from his home on Cleveland Drive. The suspect fled and is currently being sought by detectives. Hospital Traffic Paraphernalia Discovered Kirkwood police responded to a report that numerous traffic cones and street signs were discovered in the vicinity of the 300 block of Reith Terrace. …

Cat Fight in Richmond Heights Compassion for a sick kitten always is a good thing unless it is the start of an argument. Police in Richmond Heights responded to what they called a "minor physical altercation" at a home on Hoover Avenue July 2 when two women, aged 52 and 59, argued over the care of the ailing feline. Neither woman wished to press charges against the other after the catfight. Driver Assaulted During 'Bus Stop' Two men in a car at a stoplight near Interstate 44 and Bowles Avenue in Fenton, were assaulted July 10 by a group of 15 men who exited a "party bus" at the intersection. A Woman, Definitely Scorned, Stuns Ex-Boyfriend According to Chesterfield Police, Claire Canon, 18, of Chesterfield, went to the home of her ex-boyfriend on Dec. 30 and asked him for a hug. But instead of an embrace, Canon used a stun gun on him. After initially being knocked down by the electric pulse from the stun gun, he ran from the house where he was met by three masked men who proceeded to beat him in the street. The ex recognized the voice of one of the men as Bret Lombardo, of Ballwin. Although he was cut and bruised, the victim did not press charges. But, according to court records, Canon was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and third-degree domestic assault. Lombardo was charged with first-degree burglary …
