Driver Hits Metro Bus, Gets Arrested for DWI in Kirkwood

Kirkwood Police Department provides information the latest crime incidents in the area.

The following information was supplied by the Kirkwood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.

Wednesday, Aug. 7:

  • A resident of the 200 block of Midway reported two bicycles stolen from the residence. One of the bicycles was found by police the day before at a business in the 100 block of Chester, and was returned to the owner.

Saturday, Aug. 10:
  • Police arrived at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 10700 block of Big Bend at 1:01 a.m. A passenger vehicle traveling westbound crossed the center line and a westbound Metro bus. The adult driver of the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The adult driver of the bus was not injured.
